Nineteen years ago, I received a gift from my future husband. It was something I didn’t need at the time, and now I use it every day. I can’t imagine my life without it.
He surprised me with the gift of my domain: Jenny Remington dot com.
I didn’t have a business – or even a vision for a business – at the time. In 2005, everyone seemed to have a blog, and since I loved writing, I imagined that’s what I might do with mine.
But for years, it sat. Waiting.
Then in 2013, I had a vision for myself that moved me from “I never want to own my own business” to “OMG. This is my calling.”
It turns out: owning your name is a really great place to start your first website.
This summer, I’ve been quietly working away on the 3rd version of my website. It has been a labor of love and has gotten me even more excited about my work than I have ever been.
I can’t wait to share it with you soon!
Love,
Jenny
