I sometimes save “the good chocolate” for later.
Or, I’ll save a gifted bottle of wine for a “special occasion.”
Or, I won’t wear something that is special, because, well, whatever I’m doing doesn’t feel special enough.

This gift to celebrate my new website? Still unopened. Not because I don’t love this brand of yummy gummies and want to celebrate, but because I was waiting for….well, I’m not sure what.
And, on a separate but very related note, I run my body ragged.
I say “yes, of course” when I really should say, “No, I can’t.”
I stay up too late.
I over-extend, over-give, over-think, over-everything!
I treat things like they are special, when really they are not.
And I treat my precious time, energy, and body as if it is not special, when really, my time, energy, and body are the most precious.
When I run out of energy, get sick, or say yes to the wrong things, I have less time and space for the things that matter, including myself.
So my new mantra is :
I am a limited edition. Act accordingly.
Here are 3 reminders to help me (and maybe you) remember how to operate as the special edition you are:
- Value yourself: Recognize your inherent worth and protect your peace, energy and all the things that make you, you.
- This might look like saying “No” to an extra work project or social engagement when you are already feeling overwhelmed and need rest.
- Practice self-respect: Speak and act in ways that honor your true, authentic self.
- This might look like speaking up in a meeting (respectfully but firmly) when a colleague presents your idea without giving you credit or disrespects you in another way.
- Trust your compass: Listen to your inner knowing and allow it to guide you.
- This might look like getting a strong gut feeling that a business deal or agreement isn’t right, and deciding to walk away, even though the logic on paper seems “perfect.”

And, my friend, you, too: YOU are a limited edition. Please, take note and act accordingly.
With love,
Jenny
P.S. – I finally opened the gummies and shared them with my family to celebrate my new website and because I am a limited edition worth celebrating.
