Is it just me, or is everyone else’s inner critic this loud?

When I talk to brilliant, mission-driven women, what they do and where they are couldn’t be more different. When I hear their challenges, nearly all our conversations begin in the same place.

When I talk to brilliant, mission-driven women, what they do and where they are couldn’t be more different—they’re HR executives, non-profit directors, startup founders, and customer success leaders from 14 countries across the globe.

But when I start hearing their challenges, nearly all our conversations begin in the same place.

Tell me if any of this sounds familiar:

✴️ You’ve got a big new opportunity—a promotion, an expanded scope, or a shiny new initiative. You’re thrilled, but privately wondering: Where am I supposed to fit this in?

✴️ You love what you do. You take real pride in your team and feel a deep sense of mission around your work.

✴️ You’re exceptionally self-aware. StrengthsFinder, DiSK, Myers-Briggs, Enneagram—you know yourself and love continuous learning.

Yet…

➡️ You’ve been told to “be more strategic,” but between back-to-back fire drills, you barely have five minutes to lift your head, let alone plot a 5-year vision.

➡️ You’re the unofficial office “safe place.” Because of your high empathy, people naturally come to you to vent or seek support. You love helping, but carrying everyone else’s emotional baggage gets heavy.

➡️ Your inner critic is… loud. You hold yourself to sky-high standards, but you are starting to suspect that doing great work doesn’t have to feel this hard.

➡️ Boundaries are a constant struggle. You feel personally responsible for your team’s workload, and saying “no” feels a lot like letting people down.

➡️ Self-care is at the bottom of the to-do list—and yes, you feel a little guilty about that, too.

And most of all?

🌟 You know you want growth and support, but you want it on terms that keep you sane and energized. 🌟

If you nodded along to even a few of those, you are in very good company.

Different roles, different time zones, but the same story: brilliant, high-capacity women who care deeply, work hard, and want a little more breathing room.

And that’s why I love coaching as a support system.

It isn’t about “fixing” you. You’re not broken!

It’s about giving you
