A Long-held Vision just came true

Sometimes, when you pause and look back, you see that you were moving toward your vision all along.ย

Hi There,

Sometimes, when you pause and look back on a series of events, you see that you were moving toward your vision all along.

For more than two decades, I’ve quietly held the vision of being a published author.

I didn’t know how I would get there, but looking back, I can see that many choices and projects led me here.

Here are just a few:

๐Ÿ“˜ Shortly after college, I followed the advice, “If you want to be a writer, you have to be a reader” which sparked an invitation to finally embrace reading wholeheartedly (something that never happened in school when I was assigned to read books).

๐Ÿ“˜ I wrote in my journal for years.

๐Ÿ“˜ I created a family blog in 2008 to document my transition to motherhood.

๐Ÿ“˜ I launched my business in 2013 and shared this newsletter to my community on professional and personal growth topics.

๐Ÿ“˜ I wrote drafts of a few children’s books.

๐Ÿ“˜ I acquired an old-school typewriter to sit on my bookshelf.
๐Ÿ“˜ I curated a cherished stack of books by authors I know personally, which inspires me daily.

๐Ÿ“˜ I joined writers’ circles, attended writers’ retreats, and carved “writers’ dates” out on my calendar.

๐Ÿ“˜ I met Michelle Savage, the woman who would become my first publisher, at a conference.

๐Ÿ“˜ And every vision board I’ve ever created has included my dream of becoming an author.

While the path to getting there wasn’t linear, I can now see how my choices, projects, and vision helped lead me to today, when I can finally say, “Yes, I am a bestselling author.”

In honor of achieving this personal and professional milestone, I want to share a little love with you!
